THE LATEST AND GREATEST~

Hello all! Please keep those comments coming on my Blog concerning the Modern Drummer article "First Person, Dealing With Adversity". Many of the stories that drummers and other artists sent in were heart breaking. I've been encouraging everyone to post their story on my blog at: http://rickysebastian.com/blog/ . I'm working on a new article on how to use swiss triplets and flam taps to enhance your technique and orchestration around the drum set.

The next big musical event coming up in New Orleans is the Essence Festival. This is a great festival held every year in July in the Superdome & one not to be missed.

The "Crescent City Drum School" has officially opened and lessons have already started. We're also planning a summer drum camp for kids & I'll be giving a free drum set clinic on Saturday, July 26th. See the ad on the "Home" page for more information and the schools Mission Statement.

My agent and I have started booking some clinics and master classes in the U.S. and are looking for more contacts, so if you would like to have me at your school or music store, please get in touch with my agent, Emory White, at bookings@rickysebastian.com. The "Photo Gallery" is coming along nicely & I'm adding new pics every day so check in often. The New Orleans Gumbo Music Show has been airing for one month now every Sunday at 7PM CST & is starting to catch on. You can access the show by going to Daryll Dobson's site "Solar Guitars" which features all of the greatest artists in the fusion genre, but is expanding to incorporate other styles of music. I'm interviewing all of the great New Orleans musicians and playing their music live. You can access Solar Guitars and The New Orleans Gumbo Music Show by clicking on the respective graphics below.
